INTERRIGATION STARTS:

Q: When did you start to make mods?

S: Back in 1988



Q: What tracker did you use then?

J: Well the first things we did we did on the old
   Sound FX tracker but we soon discovered
   Soundtracker.. gee I think it was Soundtracker 2.3
   or something like that. Wasn't it?

S: Yeah I think so.



Q: Do you think you make better music now than then?

S: Oh yes! without a doubt *smile*

J: Some of those old mods aren't very good yes hehe.



Q: Have you always just made dance music?

S: Well no, we have made some 'normal' amiga demo music but
   most of those mods are since before 1993.

J: Oh and we did 10 mods for an amiga game but Psygnosis
   dropped the amiga before it was finished so it never
   got released. Which is sad since those mods were
   quite good actually and the game was nice.



Q: And now you only make dance music?

J: Well mostly yes but if we get a request to do
   something else we can do most things.



Q: What sort of dance music do you do then?

S: Hehe everything. We have through the years made mods
   in nearly every style of dance music there is. Like
   House,garage,techno,trance,gabba,hardcore,jungle,funk,
   acid-jazz,handbag,euro-pop etc. We mostly do house
   now though.



Q: How did you come to use these nicks? Jam&Spoon

J: Well we took them up when we first went on the net.
   That was about the same time that the real jam&spoon
   released the excellent Stella 12" We thought the names
   was funny and have used them ever since.

S: We never claimed to be the real jam&spoon though, our
   nicks were a sort of tribute to their work.



Q: You ever get confused with the real jam&spoon now?

S: Yes we did, especially after they became popular with
   their 'right in the night' single. We then patiently
   point out to those ppl that we live in Iceland and
   the real dudes in Germany.



Q: Ever thought about changing your nicks?

J: Yes, loads of times lately, but they have sort of stuck
   on us those names but we might just change them soon.
   We will let the world know if we do hehe.



Q: Do you two have the same favourite band?

S: Yup, The Pet Shop Boys are our all time fave band.

J: and always will be.



Q: What kind of music do you like besides dance music?

S: Well.. synth pop like early OMD and DM, early Brit pop
   like the Smiths, New Order, modern brit pop like Oasis,
   Blur etc.

J: I'll second most of that.



Q: Who are your favourite DJ's?

J: House: Masters at Work.  Techno: Carl Cox.

S: Right on.



Q: Besides yourselves, do you have an all time favourite
   amiga musician?

J&S: Spaceman who used to call himself Nuke. No doubt.
