Short: A simple game with ASCII graphics Author: Krister Fundin Uploader: fundin yahoo com (Krister Fundin) Type: game/shoot Version: 1.1 Requires: AGA, PAL Architecture: m68k-amigaos Space Shooter is a novelty game of sorts: a vertical shoot'em'up that uses only character graphics for its display. Although the gameplay is rather limited (only two kinds of enemies on one endless level), it is still a somewhat enjoyable game -- not particularly difficult. It was inspired by a similar game found on Aminet but is supposed to be a bit more "pure" in the sense that every frame could be saved as a plain text file (and such a feature is indeed included). Controls and such are explained in the manual, but there's really not much to it. Just grab the joystick and fire away. These are the changes in version 1.1 -- * Replaced the "game over" sign with a more appealing title screen. * Made enemies and background objects actually enter the screen from above rather than just appearing as if teleported there. * Fixed timing issues on faster computers.
