Short: Plays YAFA animations on a CyberGfx board Author: mfides@readysoft.es (Miguel Fides) Uploader: mfides readysoft es (Miguel Fides) Requires: CyberGfx, XPK user kit, Architecture: m68k-amigaos CyberYAFA 0.1 beta This mini-player can show any YAFA format animation on any CyberGfx board (it uses only 8bit-modes) Dont expect it to support every YAFA sub-format, to be too fast or complete in any manner. It is very stable, though. It is being developed in my A4000/030 2+16MB + CyberVision64 Features: - It plays from Disk. - It uses automatic ScreenMode selection via cybergraphics.library - It uses std XPK and iffparse for decoding/unpacking Bugs/Limitations: - It cant be stopped. You have to wait until animations finishes. - It is not very fast. Mainly because the high level functions and sync-io loading. - It reads but ignores anim-type so only "chunky XPK" can be used. - It runs as fast as possible. With a 060 will surely mean too fast. Where to find some YAFA animations: - You can download a bunch of nice animations from aminet/demo/tp95/DATAWORLD. It is also on the AminetCD 11. The demo is conveniently splitted in several files to keep the sizes as low as possible. Well, it is only a sunday-evening project but it really works. I always wanted more animations to be displayed on the CyberVision, no boring Dbl-slow-scaned AGA, so when recently YAFA docs were uploaded to aminet I said: Its easy!
