Short: Upload changed html pages/other files Author: unsatisfactory@bigfoot.com (Chris Young), caw107@york.ac.uk (Craig Wright) Uploader: unsatisfactory bigfoot com (Chris Young) Type: util/batch Version: 1.0 Requires: FTPMount Architecture: m68k-amigaos After seeing WebUP on Aminet, it made me realise that other people might be interested in the web space uploading script that I've been using for a few months. This script will recurse into subdirectories, but will never create them. To install: Firstly, make sure you have FTPMount and a directory in Hosts that points to your webserver FTP space. Also ensure that your webspace files are up-to-date. copy dateexec to s: ensure that the protection bits are set properly: protect s:dateexec +s copy uploader and uploader.info whereever you like. enter the following commands in the shell: date to env:upldate date to envarc:upldate Now load "uploader" into a text editor and make the changes as detailed in the file. Mount FTP:, and then double-click on "uploader" to upload any files that have changed since the last time. Note that it has a nasty habit of uploading the same files twice in a row, so if you have any files that are likely to be changed by the server/your visitors please MOVE or RENAME them locally until you need to upload them again. No warranty is expressed or implied - all use is at your own risk. I cannot accept responsibility for loss of data or any other problems arising from use of these scripts. No updates and no support is given for this archive. +-----------------------------------------+ |Unsatisfactory Software - "because it is"| |http://www.unsatisfactory.freeserve.co.uk| +-----------------------------------------+
