Short: Resource tracking for AmigaOS. V0.5 Author: Matthias Bethke (Matthias.Bethke@sowi.uni-giessen.de) Uploader: Matthias Bethke (Matthias Bethke sowi uni-giessen de) Type: util/moni Version: V0.5 Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is my attempt at resource tracking, version 0.5. The package consists of three programs: - "rt" patches the OS to keep track of various resources. What distinguishes rt from other programs of the sort is the fact that a change in the config file is all that is needed to track a new type of resource. - "rtFreeResources" selectively gives orphan resources back to the system. - "rtList" displays various summaries of rt's tracking lists V0.5 is the first non-beta version, looks pretty stable in everyday use. Nevertheless I refuse all responsibility for anything that happens to your computer/brain/mother-in-law/whatever as a result from using this software. It works fine on my system - if it doesn't on yours, just send me a bugreport and I'll consider fixing it! New in this version: - started using the MultiUser system if present. Up to now this only affects reading of config-files which well be searched in $HOME first. In the future multiuser will also be supported for by-user or by-group quotas for certain resources. - bugfix for the configfile reading routine - a couple of improvements/fixes for the utilities Notice the changed email-address, I currently have problems with my UUCP mail so please contact me through my university account!
