Patching the Stack ----------------- To patch the DS9 stack, click on the "Patch the DS9 Ver 2.1c Stack" button. You'll get a file dialog box appear with which you'll have to use to choose the "STDS9.Guide2.1c" stack. The stack will then be patched. If you choose the wrong stack you'll be warned and that stack won't be touched. It must be the stack called "STDS9.Guide2.1c" !! Once you have patched the "STDS9.Guide2.1c" stack, you will be informed that it was successful and given the option to return to the "Patch stack", "Quit Hypercard" or "Stay in the DS9" stack. Just click whichever button you want. What Happened and why -------------------- Apparently, the Long Synopsis information for cards 20 through to 24 was chopped off 3/4 of the way through leaving the info incomplete. Something of a real pain! Apparently when opening and reading a file through HyperTalk commands, only up to the first 16K of the file can be read !!! I wasn't aware of this until I happened to read through the Long Synopsis info on the episode "The Homecoming" that I was made aware that some info was missing. This Patch Stack will install the full Long Synopsis information for cards 20 to 24 of the "STDS9.Guide2.1c" stack if you follow the steps given above. Sorry about any problems this has caused!! Click on this field to close it. Stephen C.
